The plows have come through most Brooklyn streets but that is only part of the job and the Mayor seems oblivious or just doesn't care.
I have been to Manhattan and the snow is no longer an issue. That cannot be said of Brooklyn and the other 3 boros. The situation is becoming unhealthy. Now some of it is because some of our fellow citizens do not care but some of it is because of neglect. Their are mounds of snow all over and most street corners have no paths. The snow is now black in many places and fire hydrants are still buried. Add in that no one is paying attention to the pooper scooper law and that dogs are urinating all over the snow. If a parent doesn't catch their child in time they may be jumping in it. Let's not forget it is now over 5 days without garbage pickup.
There should be snow removal trucks but not one is seen in Brooklyn or the other boros. Why? Naturally, 42nd Street is clean and everyone in the country will see Times Square and get the wrong impression about how the other 4 boros are experiencing third world treatment thanks to an uncaring Mayor.
Mr. Bloomberg its time to be a mench and you aren't being one. Shame on you for not caring. How many people will have to die in the other 4 boros from the storm before you care.

The Mayor Fails New Yorkers With Response To 2010 Blizzard-Lives are Endangered
We have just been through the blizzard of 2010 and once again the Mayor has done a poor job. This one is more serious because its a dangerous situation. On the day after streets in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx were untouched. 2 days after it remains the same way. The Mayor is busy blaming people for leaving their cars abandoned on the street, but he doesn't make excuses for the buses that have been abandoned. I counted 4 buses today 12/28/2010 that were sitting on Avenue X in Brooklyn abandoned.
What makes this dangerous is that if someone has a heart attack or needs an ambulance they will be in trouble in most places in Brooklyn and Queens. I heard yesterday that 1,300 EMS calls weren't answered. The Mayor answers by telling people to go to the theater.
The Mayor needs to remember he is the Mayor of 5 boros and not just Manhattan. Manhattan functions and the rest of the city is ignored.
Since cars cannot get through there has been no mail delivery or package delivery from from UPS or Fed Ex. People have businesses that require product and the trucks cannot get through to deliver. The businesses are getting hurt financially and the Mayor says, complaining doesn't help and people should go to the theater.
The Public Advocate has announced he is starting an investigation but its time for someone to start criminal and impeachment proceedings against this Mayor. From hiring friends like Cathy Black who has no experience to $80 million being stolen from tax payers under the Mayors watch to the blizzard he has failed miserably. If one person died during the blizzard because no plows went through and EMS couldn't do its job then the Mayor should be held libel.
Mr. Mayor we are not a third world country but under your leadership the city responded like we are one.
